11E Season Report
A fun season with a fun group of fellas. It’s a real testament to these boys that they rolled along, enjoyed their football and their time together, and still looked to grow and develop with the opportunities available to them over such a stilted and inconsistent season hampered by weather.
It was awesome watching Archie R, Lucas, Jasper L and Jasper S build on their talents and skills to increase their game awareness. At the same time, it was rewarding to see a few our boys, Archie W, Oscar, Quinn, Blake and Marcus evolving as talented players, learning and finding their own individual style and skillset. The other rewarding breakthroughs over the season were watching Mason, Milo and Jack becoming more confident, backing themselves, and working to bring their talents out. In the process they became more comfortable to go at opposing players and own their roles on the field.
This saw a valuable blend of skills and talent, matched with enthusiasm, energy and really good attitudes all round. Through the way everyone joked together, helped each other, and worked to support teammates in play, the boys started forming into a genuine team. This was probably the most rewarding thing to watch over the course of the season. We had a lot of fun and couldn’t be prouder of the boys as manager and coach.
