Presidents Report 2021

Hi Members,

Once again 2021 has thrown up surprises. It was shaping as a very good year and then we got shut down again just into the second half of the season. I would like to thank all the players, parents, grand parents for playing and supporting our club once again this year.

We again were the 5th biggest club in the Sutherland Shire with over 1000 players and over 80 teams competing. To our many sponsors, thanks for the support again, especially our Gold sponsors, Club Engadine, Bob and Ben the Tree men, Renxtend Pools. We had our Nursery squad running again this year with over 50 participants. Big thanks to Glen Tonna for putting his hand up for this and making it a very successful squad. Also to the young girls and boys that helped out each session.

To our Roo ball refs, thankyou for doing a great job week after week.

To my executive committee, Col, Gav, Mick, Bec and Scott. Thanks for your support and helping me run this club. I am very lucky to have you 5 around. The rest of the committee thanks for the effort put in through out the whole season. Your work isn’t just the football season it’s a year round gig and you do such a great job.

Dana and Kel running the canteen behind the scenes, you don’t get many accolades but a job that is always done very well. Thank you.

Bozo and the bar, great job again and I’m sure it will be in fine hands again next year after you handed over the reins. Thanks for the years you have put in.

One final comment, I have served 4 years as President to this fine club. I have decided that its time to hand over, I have accomplished with the committee what I set out to achieve to make this club financially strong and a family club that our members feel happy to be in.

As of now you have a new President, Marty Manns. He will serve our club with great passion and enthusiasm. Marty good luck and enjoy.
