It was a fantastic season for the W08B team this year. The girls really enjoyed every game, and gave it their all on the field each week. They were a tenacious little bunch of team mates, and each player brought different strengths to the team, making it tough for their opponents each week! One of the most lovely things about this season was watching the girls relationships as team mates strengthen as the season went on. Seeing them encourage one another each and every week was a true joy for everyone watching.

We were so lucky to have the guidance of two coaches this year, Coach Gav and Coach Dane, who so wonderfully encouraged and led the girls through the season. Despite little training sessions due to the rain, Gav and Dane taught the girls so much about teamwork, and imparted their love and knowledge of soccer to the girls. From the beginning of the season, to the end, each of the girls improved their skill and technique as soccer players, and this was clear through their improved confidence and ability not only as individuals, but as a whole team.
